Sue Scheff: Parenting ADD/ADHD Children and Teens

Many parents have reservations about using prescription medication for ADD/ADHD children. I believe it is an individuals choice - and parents need options. Although I personally chose medication for my child, I know many parents that have had success with special diet programs such as the Feingold Program.
The Feingold Program (also known as the Feingold Diet) is a test to determine if certain foods or food additives are triggering particular symptoms. It is basically the way people used to eat before "hyperactivity" and "ADHD" became household words, and before asthma and chronic ear infections became so very common.
